Taught by Professor Stefano Della Foglia, the functional sports taping course provides participants with the skills needed to effectively perform taping techniques in sports settings to protect athletes from musculoskeletal injuries.
Highly practical, the video course offers simple and precise explanations on how to properly apply and remove sports tape, based on the athlete's specific needs and role on the team.
During the course, students will learn the appropriate materials to use, correct application principles, and mistakes to avoid. Additionally, some new tricks will be shared to improve the hold of the tape and achieve optimal results in matches. Specific taping for the areas most involved in sports—particularly soccer, American football, and rugby—is examined to prevent common injuries such as ankle sprains, cruciate ligament injuries, Achilles tendinopathy, wrist and finger injuries, and muscle strains.
The course modules will provide immediate skills needed to manage a team of professional and amateur athletes, leveraging the principles of functional taping. You will learn how to perform herringbone wraps, tendon support wraps, ligament reinforcement wraps, stabilizing braces, and "full metal tape" for total ankle protection. By participating in this course, you will have the opportunity to expand your professional skills in the field of functional taping in sports, providing improved protection and support to athletes during their performances.
